Join us for an exclusive walkabout of ‘Tapestry Pageant’ with curator, Jared Leite, and artist, Queezy Babaz.

The event will take place on September 12th, starting at 6pm. It will feature an intimate walkabout of the exhibition, followed by a special cocktail experience and floating dinner, providing guests the opportunity to engage with the artist.
‘Tapestry Pageant’ boasts a compelling collection of works whereby Queezy embodies the true spirit of an interdisciplinary artist, pushing the boundaries of various creative spaces over the past decade. Their current work, a delicate weave of personal experiences and collective memories, draws from a diverse range of references and research related to their lived experience as a queer and coloured person.
The exhibition explores the concept of the tapestry - an age-old textile tradition spanning multiple cultures - alongside the pageant, a celebration deeply rooted in South African subversion. Queezy intertwines these themes to create mixed-media collages printed on satin, a material rich in symbolic significance.
