Summer Exhibition x Cape Racing

Art School Africa is excited to partner with Cape Racing to present our inaugural Summer Exhibition, ‘The Future in Motion.’

Opening on 11 December 2024, the exhibition showcases 26 juried works by artists aged 18 - 35 from across the continent. Spanning diverse styles, mediums, and conceptual approaches, these works celebrate the next generation of voices shaping contemporary art from Africa.

United by a commitment to inclusivity and diversity, Cape Racing and Art School Africa aim to break barriers and create accessible entry points into traditionally exclusive industries. ‘The Future in Motion’ reflects Cape Racing’s evolving vision of transforming its racecourse into a space for gathering, celebration, and connection. The exhibition explores motion as both physical movement and dynamic shifts in cultural perspectives, creative expression, and societal engagement.

This collaboration offers emerging artists an invaluable platform to showcase their work to an international audience, aligning with Art School Africa’s mission to nurture and champion local talent.
